Rendering Marks….Into?
Rendering Marks examines the way individuals express desire, identity, and intention through the images they share on Grindr. This book presents a collection of photos—landscapes, objects, and abstract representations—rather than portraits of the men themselves. Each image is a "mark" left behind, a visual signal in the search for connection, revealing how identity is curated and communicated in the digital space.
Through these images, I explore the complexities of self-representation, the absence of the personal body, and the performative nature of online interaction, offering a reflection on how desire is shaped and mediated in the digital age.
